The Stony Creek Fire Department has been protecting the Lego City of Stony Creek and providing support to the neighboring cities since 1908. The mission of the department is to provide the highest possible level of fire suppression, rescue, hazard material response, emergency medical service and river rescue to the community.
The department is responsible for 78,716 residents, as well as an estimated 60,000 nonresidents that visit and work within the city limits. The 42 square mile suburb is mixed with residential, commercial, small industrial, and the Stony River. The fleet’s stable consists of 5 Engine Companies, 3 Ladder Companies, 1 Rescue/USAR and 1 Rescue/Hazmat, and a Marina division from 6 stations.
